What we do

How we help

Our services

We are a community-based charity. Our services include:

  • HIV testing for children and adolescents.

  • Tracing those who don’t follow up with testing and keeping them in care; we do this especially for infants exposed to HIV, and children and adolescents living with HIV.

  • Direct care and support for vulnerable children and adolescents especially those living with or affected by HIV.

  • Providing a platform for children and adolescents to be involved in preventing HIV, and reducing their risk and vulnerability to HIV.

  • Advocating for detecting more cases and for children and adolescents to access to quality HIV care

  • Comprehensive sex education for adolescents.

Who we help

  • Adolescent girls, boys and young people

  • Children infected by and affected by HIV

At HAPPY, we do as much as we can to support children and adolescents not just with their health but their daily life.

We have:

  • index-based family testing

  • active community-based and mobile phone tracing to ensure the safety and care of children and adolescents

  • greater involvement of adolescents in HIV prevention, care and support service delivery

  • post-test adolescent clubs

  • a savings and loan scheme for parents and caregivers for children and adolescents living with HIV.
